When you bring your pet to Canine Carousel, they will start their grooming with a good brush, shampoo and bath. Next, on to the clipping table for a stylish haircut or trim. Our professional groomers always remember the ears and nails, and we can add nail polish or a bow or two for that final touch! If your pet suffers from fleas, Canine Carousel offers flea dipping and a full line of pet supplies. We understand the fears that pets experience during a visit to be groomed, that is why we take extra care to provide them with a “gentle touch”.

Dogs should be bathed every four to six weeks. We use shampoos and conditioners specially formulated for dogs. Bathing your dog regularly helps prevent allergies, dry skin, and dander. By request we offer flea, medicated , Oatmeal or Scented shampoos.
Brushing the coat of your pet is essential to the health of your pet. Brushing allows the skin to breathe and helps with the prevention of flea and tick infestation. If your pet develops mats in its hair, groom immediately. Mats can pull tender skin, cause pain, lead to hot spots or wounds to the skin. This can also cause infection, general skin outbreaks, fungus and insect invasion.
- Ear Cleaning
Dogs need to have their ears cleaned to help prevent ear infections and is essential for the pet’s overall health. Ear cleaning helps prevent ear mites, odor, and keeps the ear canal dry.
Grooming is good for your pet’s health, preventing problems such as excessive shedding, skin problems, paw disorders, and mats in your dog’s hair. All dogs should be groomed on a regular basis.
- Nail Clipping
All dogs should have their nails trimmed every two to three months. Failure to trim nails causes the pet to be uncomfortable, the nails to break, or grow into the skin which can then lead to an infection of the paw.
- Tooth Brushing
Brushing your dog’s teeth removes the daily accumulation of plaque from the teeth. Plaque, which forms on the teeth just a few hours after eating, consists of about 80 percent bacteria. As the plaque builds up, it mineralizes and forms tartar. Tartar build-up on your dog’s teeth can cause painful inflammation of the gums. Ouch! Would you want that?
